Before you apply

This checklist is your step-by-step guide to applying to CFRC. You may find it helpful to bookmark this page or print a copy to keep on hand while you go through your application process.

  • Browse all programs and courses offered at CFRC.

  • Know when to apply. Review program dates and deadlines such as term start dates and application deadlines. Use this to plan your application timelines. Applications can take up to 4-weeks to process.

  • Make sure the programs you're interested in are still "open" and accepting applicants.

Apply online

Apply online to CFRC through this website. You will need to create an account by clicking the login button in the top right hand corner of your screen. Once registered, you will need to go to your applications tab in your profile and submit an application. Once you have submitted your application and paid the related fees, you can upload supporting documents and transcripts through your CFRC Portal.

The Office of the Registrar will admit or conditionally admit applicants into programs until the program is full.

Once a program is full, qualified applicants are placed on a waitlist.

  • Officially accept offer

  • Submit Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening

  • Pay all fees by deadline

You may accept your offer via email

If you do not submit payment and your criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening or the records show non-permitted activities, your acceptance into a selected program will be revoked.

CFRC maintains two different types of waitlists; one for competitive programs, and one for non-competitive programs. Programs with a non-competitive entrance manage waitlists according to the date a complete application was received.

If your application is not accepted, you will receive a response stating that your application has been rejected. Your registration fee will not be refunded. The reason for the rejection will be clearly explained in your response email and you may or may not be eligible to re-apply depending on the reason for rejection. The most common reason for rejection is the inability to meet the minimum requirements of the program. Ensure you review the program and entry requirements thoroughly before applying.
