The ZERO

TO HERO Program

Starting

November 2, 2020

CANADIAN FIRE RESCUE COLLEGE

The term: "Zero to Hero" when referring to emergency services training is often considered a negative comment.   This is because generally speaking it is not realistic to expect a new student to attain a series of academic achievements, with little or no real life experience yet still perform safely and efficiently on an emergency scene.   Only the Canadian Fire Rescue College (CFRC) offers a truly enriched mixture of certified / accredited training mixed with real-world experience and on-the-job performance.

Most Occupational Health and Safety governing bodies insist that employers hire and cultivate employees that are certified, qualified, and experienced.  This is particularly true of high-risk / large consequence vocations such as emergency delivery services.  Most emergency service schools do a fair job of certifying their students with some of the required knowledge.   Some schools go further and qualify their students on some of the skills required to do the job. However; only CFRC combines the certification and qualifications with the real-world experience of actually working within the emergency services industry.  At the Canadian Fire Rescue College students come away with a total array for certifications, further enriched qualifications, and actual on-the-job experience needed to succeed in the emergency services industry.
